Meet Dr Shamalka De Silva BDSc, MRACDS (PDS)
Shamalka De Silva is a Perth native, and was introduced to dentistry through trauma at a young age. After receiving treatment, her interest was piqued early on, and continues even now.
She loves the patient interaction, hands-on clinical procedures requiring precision and dexterity, the variety of procedures available in general dentistry, and the problem-solving aspect involved in diagnosing and planning treatment. She also has a keen interest in CAD/CAM dentistry and implant dentistry.
Education and Continuing Studies
Shamalka received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2015 from the University of Adelaide. She’s also a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Primary Dental Sciences (MRACDS (PDS)), and the Gide Dental Institute.
Completing a “Mastering Cerec” course in 2018, she has been providing ceramic restorations and crowns for patients using the latest computerised CEREC 3D technology.
Shamalka values continued education to ensure she provides the best standard of care for her patients. She is currently completing her postgraduate certificate in implant dentistry through the Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology.

Away From the Practice
When she’s not working, you’ll find Shamalka following Formula 1 racing on the weekends, cheering on Danial Ricciardo and soon-to-be star Oscar Piastri. She also enjoys exercising, playing social netball, and spending time with family and friends.
